Within the National Park there are heaps of activities suitable for families, and younger children are well catered for at local destinations.
Locally the village has a play park with swings and slides as well as an adjoining football pitch. There is a daytime restaurant/café with a children’s menu as well as lots of other temptations, and the village shop is always on hand for ice creams and other holiday essentials as well as being handy for supplies.
The cottages are well placed for a walk into the village, the play park is just down the road, or a walk up our local hill known as The Dumpling which provides one of the best views of Loch Lomond and is many a child’s first summit!
On a practical level please let us know when you book if you would like to borrow a high chair or travel cot. We have a supply of plastic plates, bowls and cups so if you would like those to be included in the kitchen do let us know (please bring the child’s own cutlery).
"My boys would like to say a huge thank you for the ride on tractors in the barn."
– The Mathews Clan
"Our grandson loved watching the chickens strut about."
– Rob, South Wales
If your children are like ours they tend to bring a supply of favourite toys and books on holiday. However, if you let us know your children’s ages when you book your holiday with us we shall leave a box of age appropriate toys and books in the cottages as we know they are always appreciated by the youngest members of the family.
In any case we have included scrabble, chess, draughts and cards in each property for those of any age.
